As of September 24, we have FOUR new neighbors! Congratulations to the new Waterleaf homeowners. Welcome home! The difference a month can make: the previous thirty-day window showed more of the same market slowdown data. Thirty days later, things have swung about 100 degrees in the opposite direction. It’s only one month’s data versus several months of slowdown data, so we aren’t excited yet, but I’m paying attention. As *Edward Tufte says, “One data point is just a dot. It takes more than one to make a trend."
With the recent Federal Reserve rate reductions, we are hopeful that the impact on the bond market will be favorable for the 30-year fixed rate, and we will get enough dots like the previous thirty days to get a trend going.
